fundraising hoe down

this is kind of perfect for the entire post. a bunch of us interns went to Bratt yesterday and i took them to the Humble Kitchen for some vietnamese food (tofu banh mi is delish!). this was right next to where their food truck was set up.

i helped my "mom" make eggplant parm for the fundraiser/hoe down that her husband's old timber company (benson woodworking, the ones that did the light fixture at KAF) hosts every year. and of course, can't have a hoe down w/o food and drinks!
Peg, my landlord/mom, filling up the beer pitcher from a coca-cola fridge converted to beer taps! and a bird stein.

the home of the owners of the company is gorgeous. it's out in alstead, nh, about 20 minutes from keene in the middle of nowhere on this dirt road.
the sunset view from their property. those are the stratton mts in the distance. the party was great. the goal is to fill up an entire car w/ pantry foods to donate to a local men's shelter and they do a raffle.

hiking part of the sunapee-monadnock greenway today (eeek). but at least i'll burn off everything i ate ytd. haha! happy sunday!
