fake rich and foodie fun

not only did i get my loan money, but between meetings today i finally got to deposit it! i'm "rich!"

Laura, another intern, who i have 2 community rotation projects with (Healthy Monadnock 2020 Champions Event and KSC HLSC360 class) had an early 8 am start going to the physical training class. unfortunately, it was a thrown to the sharks kind of moment when the professor thought we actually knew what we were doing there. i still don't think she understands what we're doing. and we also found there is no budget available for our cooking class. so our project is pretty much nonexistent! haha. always about being flexible and on the roll.

we spent the rest of the morning in meetings and planning for our projects then ended up having a joint advising meeting with Cindy b/c we have so many overlapping projects. it was both fun and very unproductive b/c we went so off tangent. so what would have been an hour meeting became like 2.5! but finally got to try brewbaker's (coffee/food shop). their coffee is pretty good. and i like the music they play.

after such a long day, Laura and i decided we needed a drink and food b/c we were starving and wiped out. we first walked into the Pour House (me, awkwardly student-esque w/ my dorky backpack) but their HH deals weren't that great and the vibe was off (the synchronized turn around and stare from the people at the bar really threw us off). so then we walked to 21 bar & grill (my "mom" goes there a lot). much better choice!
HH on monday is all day long (woot woot) and was $2 on select drafts and 1/2 price on some apps. oh, and $2 off on martinis but we were going cheap and yum. we got the loaded waffle fries (minus the bacon) and the caprese pizza. good food (can you really go wrong w/ fried food on an empty stomach).
we both got 2 shocktop pumpkin wheat beers with a cinnamon syrup rim. yum! yay fall and the end of a long day. we'll see how long these 5:30 morning runs last...but at least i've finally heard back from my foodservice preceptor! i was getting so nervous when i hadn't heard from her.

just got my vermont tourism newsletter for sept, and the apple orchards are doing an Apples to ipods scavenger hunt, how fun!
