the average person will have 10 different jobs before the age of 40

it was my last day at the museum yesterday. almost three years of my life were spent there, getting the drawer count wrong, telling people that "yes, there is an admission fee" and "yes, you can use the bathroom." it has also been my only job so far (and probably for forever) where the work force has been dominated by men (it makes for interesting humor) and one of my longest lasting jobs. ending the museum job kind of felt like i was really saying goodbye to my history degree, so if anyone wants a little history lesson on old ec feel free to work my brain.

although my last post (well, only post so far) inspires forward thinking and motion i can't really say i got to this place and this degree w/o the places and experiences i've had these past three years (or so...). not only was a second round at UMCP completely different environment (i admit the statement "kids these days" came out of my mouth a lot as i sat through lectures watching every single student on their laptop/ipad/smartphone on facebook) from my first degree, but i somehow also lost the ability to be content with just one job at one time (i think i got up to three at one time, or maybe it was four?).  i wouldn't trade all the people i've worked with and met for all the free time in the world. so here's to the last three years (and some!) and the people that inspired me, supported me, made me laugh and helped me grow.

it's actually a little scary looking at how many things i've done the last few years (although some were very short jaunts of employment/internship) but there's still a lot to come! come visit me in NH, i'm not homeless anymore :)

*the statistic in my title is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics for college graduates
