back in the groove

school started up again for the keene students (we started 2 weeks ago) today and that meant first day of group fitness classes! i'm teaching kickboxing from 6:45-7:45 and i had a packed house tonight. everyone was so high energy, it was nice to be back in that atmosphere again. i also got a lot of positive feedback so i'm excited for the rest of the semester. i only got through one 32 ct combo and two shortened cardio bursts which actually worked timing wise. i need to work on some of my cueing, but i think that will come back as i get back into teaching mode.

i'm not sure how i feel about the layout of the room, but maybe i'll try turning the class next week. i'm also trying to figure out my eating schedule as i'm working out 2x on tuesdays and then teaching right around my eating time. i had my pb sandwich at 5:30 and a hardboiled egg and that seemed to work out ok, but going to need to figure out some more protein foods! any suggestions for a low-budget vegetarian w/ no fridge?

oh, and i got invited to fencing practice after class. could you imagine putting on fencing gear when you're already dripping w/ sweat! it'd be like bikram fencing!

it's apparently snowing in MD, but we haven't gotten anything (today) yet. stay safe and warm!
